I have set up a Test Server to begin 64-bit Win2008/SQL2008R2 Testing.  I am using the 10_GP_ENUS_FP1_DVD_SP5 install disc.

I have installed GP and the test company successfully and have run GP Utilities. I can log onto GP fine. I have installed eConnect, PDK, and Integration Manager ok.

However when I try to install the "Human Resources and Payroll Suite" (Past the license screen and the Install Location Screen), it errors out with a
A fatal error was encountered. The Human Resources and Payroll Suite installation has ended
prematurely. Click Finish to exit the installation.

Two Questions:
1.) Does the 10_GP_ENUS_FP1_DVD_SP5 install disc contain the pages for the Additional Products?
2.) Any ideas why just this feature is failing?

    Hello David,

    1) First, the 10_GP_ENUS_FP1_DVD_SP5 would have the patches for additional products such as the HR and Payroll Suite included. If you want to be sure you can download the latest vesion from the following page on CustomerSource:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../hrp_bp_addon.htm

    2) If you're getting an error during the install you should be able to just drop the SP5 *.CNK files from the above site into your GP 10.0 folder, then launch GP 10.0 to unpakage them in place of using the installer.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

I wasn't sure the SP5 chk files contain the full needed code to do this but it appear to have worked.

You save me opening up a case and have allowed me to move forward with my 64-bit testing. Thanks!

    Sounds good.

Sorry for the duplicate, but the long response time makes us question the current usefulness of the "New" newsgroup. I was asked to repost.
