Using dexterity development enviroment or any other modifying programming language will it affect all users and host GP 2016 server? or just on my PC?

I'm a new employee in my company and I'm now handling Microsoft dynamic GP. I would like to know if using dexterity development environment or any other modifying programming language will it affect all users and host GP server? or just on my PC?

    I suggest you follow MVP David Musgrave's Dexterity Development Environment series for a primer on how to configure your development environment:

    Also, you have a choice of using Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP, where customizations can be done using C# or VB.NET. 

    You can find both Dexterity and Visual Studio Tools on your Microsoft Dynamics GP installation media, under the Tools folder.

    Yes it is safe, as long as you keep everything local and don't use shared .DIC files (the GP dictionaries that are used to store all the code & forms)
