Implement a Business Process Flow to qualify Lead to Custom Entity.

Hi,

We are planning to customize the Lead entity and want to qualify it to a custom entity.

e.g. qualifying a candidate to employee.

How can I go about this? Is it possible to have a custom BPF other than the Lead to opportunity BPF (we can deactivate this BPF as we don't have any sales requirement), as I read in a blog that when we qualify a Lead, a new opportunity is created by default.

excuse me if the question is basic or silly as I am new to CRM.

Any help is appreciated :)
