Error when sending Report per Email with Outlook

One of my colleagues has an issue with sending a report to the client.

When she tries to send the report, she gets the following error (error message is in german).

image002.png

The message says the following: "A call to Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Integration.Office.Outlook.IOutlookMessage.CanInitializeOutlook with this message: Could not load file or assembly 'office, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied."

We use Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 (Version: 11.0.23572.0)

All of us use the same Outlook and Office Version, but she is the only one that gets this error.

We gave her admin access privileges to the NAV directory to test, if this would help, but it didn't matter.

Since there are new Updates, I wanted to know, if I can update only her NAV to the newest NAV 2018 version.

I have the same question (0)

Did you find a fix for this? I have a single individual receiving this same error message and cannot figure out the reason or fix. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hi Tony and Yupp90,

If this is working for one user and not for another user, then may be this outlook dll is not available on that user's pc. You can get this dll from installation folder and put it C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\110\RoleTailored Client

    Hi

It seems like the error is related to a missing or inaccessible assembly file required for the Outlook integration in NAV. This could potentially be resolved by repairing or reinstalling the Microsoft Office installation on her computer.

Updating her NAV 2018 version may not directly resolve this specific issue unless there are known fixes related to Outlook integration in the update. However, it is generally recommended to keep NAV up to date with the latest available updates and hotfixes to ensure optimal performance and to address known issues.

It might be worth checking with your IT department or NAV support team to see if there are any known compatibility issues with the specific version of Outlook being used or if there are any other suggestions for resolving the error.
