GUIDS best practices

Posted on by 5

Hello,

We are looking for best practices for the creation of new teams without having to create in production and restore our lower environments to make sure the GUIDs match.

Thanks

    Hi,

You can export your Teams data as CSV and keep GUID field in excel.

Make sure to convert this file to CSV and import it into Production instance. While importing you will have to select/map primary key field so that GUID is sync with lower enviornment.

Please mark my answer verified if this is helpful!

    Hi,

You can use the Configuration Migration Tool.

    Hi,

If I understand correctly, you want to sync your Team (or any entity) data without losing your Identity (GUID) and also don't want to restore from any environment.

You can use XrmToolBox 's Data Transporter plugin to move data between your environments by keeping their identity. But of course if you have other related informations (lookup), they have to be matched also
