Does anyone know any software that integrates FedEx Ship Manager to Dynamics GP? If you are using it, how well does work?

    Hi Ariel,

I would like to brief you with the VKonnact so as to give you an idea about it.

VKonnact is a data integration tool for MS Dynamics GP loaded with tons of features. VKonnact integrates data from disparate system to the Microsoft Dynamics GP. With VKonnact the data can be imported from online/on-premises Microsoft Dynamics CRM, MySQL as well as Salesforce. Also data can be imported from on-premises databases such as SQL, Oracle, and several more. Moreover, VKonnact also supports the data to be integrated from files located on Local/FTP servers of different file formats like .CSV, .XLS, .XLSX, .TXT, .XML.

VKonnact supports Dynamics GP - AP Apply documents integration.

Further VKonnact comes with the facility to view Microsoft Dynamics GP data which has look & feel similar to Microsoft Dynamics GP. With VKonnact it is now possible to edit the Microsoft Dynamics GP data without putting extra efforts of logging into GP.

Here is the link that highlights the feature of VKonnact: http://www.flovianit.com/#features

Also, here is the link of the screen shots of VKonnact http://www.flovianit.com/page/ScreenGrabs to give you an idea about VKonnact look & feel.

For your reference here is the link of VKonnact e-brochure.

Apart from these we can do custom integration.

    Hi Ariel,

Vinod's VKonnact is certainly worth a look. It is a very nice import tool that is easy to use and very well supported. That said, doesn't FedEx itself already have a software that integrates with ERP packages? I know that UPS has WorldShip, and I could swear that Fed Ex had a similar product.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Ariel,

VKonnact is probably a bit more than it sounds like you are looking for.

We use V-Technologies Starship which integrates with GP and supports all of the major carriers.

I've implemented V-Technologies StarShip in the past and it integrates directly and transparently with Dynamics GP.

    Hi Leslie,

FedEx has it's FedEx Ship Manager integration but you'll have to be the one to design how you'll push back data from FedEx to GP.

VKonnact might not be the best fit for what I'm looking for.

    Hi Mariano,

I'm just interested with FedEx, is Starship easy to implement? Basically what I'm looking to push back to GP is the freight, no. of boxes and weight (to custom fields) and the tracking numbers. Plus it should auto re-calculate the document amount and the other fields as needed.

    Ariel,

Starship can be very complex or extremely easy to implement depending on your requirements.

Based on what you described the only complex thing you may run into is where the custom fields you mentioned are located. Everything else can easily be mapped in starship in a couple of minutes.

Also if you do choose to implement Starship I recommend adding a barcode to whatever document you ship from. In my current enviroment the user at our shipping kiosk only needs to place the package on a scale (linked to starship), scan a barcode, and press F5 (for a single package shipment).

    Regards,

    Kirk

StarShip uses a mapping interface similar to Integration Manager to map the GP fields with the carrier fields. Very straight forward.

Sounds promising to what we need. I looked at their website and it seems that ShipGear is more likely to be the one that fits our needs.
