What is a software deployable package?

I'm going through D365 F&O online training and I encountered this question:

I selected /Software deployable package/ as the answer and was surprised to be told WRONG the answer is /Solution/. Can someone explain to me why their answer is right and mine is wrong?

    Martin, I think you may be confused. In my post there is only 1 link, and it comes from learn.microsoft.com -- so it's official MS documentation. Not someone's blog post.

    The first link points to someone's blog post - it's just someone's idea, not anything official. The other link isn't about F&O at all.
     
    As far as I know, there is a plan of distributing F&O customizations as Power Platform solutions, but that will happen when administration moves from LCS to Power Platform admin portal. We aren't there yet.
     
    Maybe the question talks about different asset types in LCS, but it's still strange.
    It's funny that the training module never mentions "a solution".

    Hi,
    Related documents point out that package=solution, model=collection of components inside a solution. So the solution should be an overall concept. For more details, please check the following article:
