Released product variants

Hi all,

There is a product but not a variant product .

Product type-->Item, product subtype-->Product . I see a record for this item in Released product variants. 

Is something like this possible? Could this be a bug?

    Seems odd to me. Do you have other released products with variants and product subtype = Product? Do you know how this released product was created? Was it created manually in D365 or imported?

    Actually,we do not use variant products in this company.I think, these products have been imported.

    So the issue may be with the import template. I don't think you can create such product manually.

    If imported via DMF check import templates if products v2 and released products v2 entities were used herefore. Those are the correct entities for product loads if variants are not used.

    so what should I follow if i try to delete Released product variants for this item from table or sql?
