Create shipments based on ship dates?

Hi Experts,

Is there anyway we can consolidate Sales order shipments based on the ship dates?

We have configured the shipment consolidation policy and added drop date and arrival date to the condition but still all the SO lines are consolidated to one shipment?

For ex, line 1 is supposed to be shipped today, line 2 is shipped tomorrow, different req ship dates.

However while release to warehouse, the system creates 1 shipment with 2 different works. We're unable to ship line 1 as the shipment status is still in process waiting for line 2 to be loaded. 

Expectation: Create 2 shipments which is independent of each other as the ship dates are different.

    Hi Jiwan,

    If you want the system to create several Work IDs, one for each ship date, then use release to warehouse periodic job with a query based on SO line ship date. For example, run periodic job the first time for all lines with ship date within next 3 days. It should create work ID for one SO line. Then run periodic job the second time for all lines with ship date within next 4 days. It should create work ID for another SO line.

    I the past project I needed to create separate work ID for lines with different mode of delivery. I achieved it by defining 2 work templates, one for each mode of delivery. I then ran the job one time and system separated all lines based on the mode of delivery and created work IDs for each.

    Hi Jiwan,

    You can try All shipment> consolidate shipment and then filter the shipment which having same ship date and then click on ok
