Carolyn, I had the same problem with Windows 8.1 and IE11. And running IE as administrator installed the .cab file and BP 5 with GP2010 is now working. Just wanted to pass that along.

    Hello,

It looks like the error occurs when attempting to install the mbfwebbehaviors.cab file.  The message you are receiving means that the MBFWebBehaviors.cab must be installed on each system that is accessing Business Portal. You must have Administrative privileges to install this .cab file. This issue typically occurs on machines running Vista/Windows 7/WS 2008, due to User Account Control (UAC).  For starters, on one of the machines where you're seeing the issue, it might be worth turning UAC completely off on the machine, restarting the machine, and logging back on as a local administrator to try and get the cab file to install.

Additionally, if UAC is already off, and the issue is occurring, you can launch Internet Explorer with Administrative privileges to see if this allows the component to install. Do this by right-clicking its icon and then choosing Run as Administrator and then access Business Portal with this browser instance.

If this still doesn't do the trick, I would recommend running through the following article to see if it helps:

905429 Users of client computers may receive an "An error has occurred in the script on this page" error message for certain Webparts in Business Portal

Ideally, this problem would be best assisted by our IE group. They own ACTIVE-X technology and installation.  Moreover, they can assist in delegating users to install Admin approved controls.
