CRM contacts not seen

I had a customer contact me today who runs a small business with SBS2011 and Dynamics CRM. One employee who normally works remotely came into the office today and logged into a computer and setup Outlook for her email account. The setup is pretty automatic since Outlook and autodiscover take care of the details.

She then tried to view the CRM contacts but none of them showed up. I'm not very familiar with CRM and haven't had to do hardly anything with CRM as it has run well.

Is there something I need to do in CRM or ADUC in order to make it so she can view the CRM contacts in Outlook?

Jonathan

    Hello SmlBizAdmin;

    The default view would be "My Contacts" which if this is a new user for CRM they wouldn't get any contacts. You'd have to ensure they had access to see other contacts and then select a different view like "All Contacts". That should work.

    check through advanced find, can she view any records, if yes, then check the view filter conditions, if no, may be she doesn't have any permission to look other owner contact.

    Thanks for the replies folks. It appears I rang the alarm bell too quickly. As it turns out, the customer logged into a domain PC she had never used before. She knew enough to setup basic Outlook since autodiscover does the work for you, but she didn't know about connecting Outlook to the existing database. I simply had to go into Outlook and tell it to connect and now all is well. Sorry for not checking that before posting.
