I'm finishing up an implementation of GL batch approval workflow and have run across a problem. This work is for a public company with SOX requirements and the person approving the GJ should not have ANY access to make changes to the entries or the batch. However, it would appear that I need to give the user access to the Batch Entry window in order to View the document. Is there a way to have this set to inquiry only.
I'm also getting an error trying to drill back from the email noticiation - the error states "A error has occurred trying o process your url"

Thanks for sharing this one Bob!
Turns out there is a known issue with the hyperlink to view the document for GJ Batch approval - supposed to be fixed in 2016. Let's hope so
I usually prefer Field Level Security over tailoring new security roles though. But whichever of the options provided will definitely work. :)
Good luck!
Good suggestion - I could also create the security role that doesn't allow posting. I failed to mentioned earlier that I wanted to take advantage of the Limited User license for this employee since this will be the only thing he does in GP. The auditors would have a much easier time understanding a Limited User license than Field Level security or security role setup.
Hi,
You can use Field Level Security to "turn-off" the Save button in the Batch Entry window and the General Journal Entry window so as the user cant save any modifications done.
