Power Automate - User Setup Purchase Amount Approval Limit

Hello,

I would like to build a power automate approval flow for PO's ; In case user has insufficient 'approval power' the flow should get the direct approver. If direct approver has insufficient 'approval power' it should get the direct approver's direct approver until the level of the person reaches the required amount.

A workflow action for 'Get Direct Approver' exists.

It is unclear to me how to retrieve "Purchase Amount Approval Limit" from the Approval User Setup via power automate. Can somebody help me?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

You can create an API page for Approval User Setup and use Business Central connector in Power Automate to retrieve the value.

    Hello

If you want to use a simple approval as you described, was there any reason to not use the simpler 'BC' approval workflows? (Although you can still achieve quite a bit in the old BC workflows. https://blog.wingate365.com/2024/06/multi-approvals-inside-1-workflow-how.html)!

You trigger the flow, check the current approver's approval limit, and if it's insufficient, you escalate using the "Get Direct Approver" action until you find someone with the necessary authority.

    Thanks for the responses.

@andy; It would work, but we would like to make use of the teams notification (modern approvals). Believe it would make sense that the 'more flexible' power automate flows caters for the "simpler" scenarios that the OOB workflow engine supports.
according to Ramiz we will need to direct to custom api pages.
