I am reviewing our CRM system jobs for cleanup.

I have a list of failed jobs and the name is workflow expansion task.  There is very little information given to inidicate what started the workflow or why it is failed.

Some are old and some are very recent.

    Hi Donald,

Workflow expansion tasks are tasks that begin to 'expand' and process the workflow.  If you have new ones that are failing this means that something may be out of wack with your 'asynchronous service'.  Usually it is a large table or inadequate sql server resources.

Do you have CRM 4?  Take a look at this article:

Thank you for your response.  It turns out that I was dealing with old ones.
