Hi All,

We are working through requirements where business users have 40-50 letters, which need to be generated as PDF at different stages of record on the case entity. These PDFs need to be automatically saved in the share-point server. Please give your ideas, We are trying to achieve with minimal interaction with the users, possibly background process with no user interaction at all. We are planning to use SSRS and call SSRS reports through plugin and save the PDFs in share-point.

Can we use Templates in this scenario, if yes can we pull the 1:N relationships records of the entity, Looking for experts option in this area.

Hi..

CRM supports template for email, article, contract and mail merge only..

So I think you can create SSRS reports for those letters and In SSRS report you can easily pull related entity records.

Also to generate PDF and store it into Sharepoint I will suggest to use Workflow instead of plugin.

Main advantage on workflow is if any letter generation failed you will find that from workflow log. Also you can register workflow async. so that it wont hold operation to be completed. you can do register plugin also async but there is not any log if it is fails unless you have custom log.
