RE: New field & Power Bi Dataset

Hi, The data that can be access in Power Bi is the data published in WebService and standard Api page.

So, If you add new fields, you need to modify these pages, or add new pages, as MahGah said.

    More details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/webservices/publish-web-service

    Hope this will also help.

    Thanks.

RE: New field & Power Bi Dataset

    Hi

This is because those fields were not published in Web Services in BC. Someone in BC need to add them to ODATA. Either publish the page or add a fields to already published ODATA. I sort of put the document below on how add the fields to already published ODATA.

Please note custom fields only can add to ODATA if they are accessible or visible in Page (through personalization for example).

Go to Web Services page in BC. Then Actions -> New Document -> Create Data Set. Then Edit An Existing Dataset. Note: sometimes they need to create new dataset or copy end edit existing dataset.

Then select the page that you have custom fields in it then in the next page check and see if those fields are included or not. if not include and publish. Now you should see them in Power BI
