Any good resources/tutorials on Role Center customization with AL?

I am mainly looking for information on changing UI/UX on different role centers. Resources on creating a role from scratch would be helpful. Are there any good resources for implementing with using AL?

I don't need help with using the "Personalize" tool, I would prefer working in AL for more customization/functionality.
