Purchase Order Workflow

We recently implemented an approval workflow on Purchase Orders.  I know it will work for newly entered PO's, but will it also require approval for previously entered open PO's.
 
Please advise.  Look forward to a response.

    Purchase Order Workflow
    Hi, yes, all open orders require approval.
    For exmaple, I just enabled the Purchase Order Approval Workflow
    Approval is also required for previously created orders.
