Change relationship behavior of all 1-to-N relationships at once

Hi guys,

when I assign a record, I don't want all records related to that to be assigned to the new owner. Is there a way how to that at once, for example for all relationships with account as primary entity? Or do I really have to open every relationship, change Type of Behavior to Configurable Cascading and then select Cascade None at the Assign drop down?

Thx a lot for helping!

    Hello,

You need to change cascading of "Reassign" for relationship between mentioned entities to "none". To do that open Relationship and in dropdown for "Reassign" choose "None".

Hi Andrii, thx for your answer. I don't have the drop down Reassign in the Relationship form. Don't know if I got your answer right. For the Account example: I went to the Account entity and selected the 1-N-relationship. After that I selected e.g. the contact_customer_accounts. Where else should I go?

Everything is correct. What you need to change:

    1. Change Type of Behavior to "Configurable Cascading".

    2. Change Assign to "Cascade None".

Thx. And there is no way I can do this for all relationships at once? A feature for bulk-editing relationship behavior?

    Regards

As far as I know - you will have to go one-by-one.

2021 update:  XRMToolbox has a tool that will make it much easier to change cascade settings.

    Activity Cascade Rules
