Migrate a item to a new item

Hi,

I've 2 items/inventory in system A and B. A is the old one which have a ledgers linked to it. B is the new one I just created. (same name but different guid)

Is there some way to migrate all related ledger from A to B?

    Hi, unfortunately, as far as I know there is no Merge item feature in BC. 

    But there is the Customer Merge feature. If you plan to customize, I think you can refer to this standard feature.

    Hi

    There is no functionality to update Item edger entries.

    One option would be to create an assembly order and consume the old item to create output for the new one.

    Costing and traceability will be saved. But you will still have the old item with its unique reference.

    Alternatively, you can simply rename item code, description and cross references.

    You might need to redesign some of your reports.
