Is the Dynamics Data Loader Service available? Has it ever been?

Have you successfully used the Dynamics Data Loader Service? If so, did it work as documented?

I understand that it is a preview feature, but I see no evidence that it was ever made live.

The tool is not listed in the Preview Feature Management Portal

lcs.dynamics.com/.../BetaFeatureManagement

And, the "Deploy Runtimes" tile is not visible in the Lifecycle Services Portal.

Just to confirm, Dynamics Bulk Data Loader is a Dynamics CRM service not Ax.

According to this article, as with lots of preview features you first have to activate it for your Dynamics 365 instance:

www.microsoft.com/.../what-are-preview-features-and-how-do-i-enable-them.aspx

Also your logged in LCS account should be associated with that Office 365 subscription that is using that Dyn365 instance.

And your O365 tenant must be in North America.

The linked page states, that the Data Loader Preview Feature does not have to be enabled in the Previews tab.

I was trying to set up the data loader yesterday. Following the instructions I tried to set a connection to my environments (in Europe) first.

I was able to select my environments form a list (they where fetched correctly) and initiate the deployment, but it ended with an error:

"Response status code does not indicate success: 403 (Forbidden)."

I would also be interested in some information, it will become available also in other regions than NA.

it would be benficial to learn more on the features. For instance, I havent found any info, if the data loader supports both a) creation on new records b) update of existing records in one load.

I am receiving the same 403 error message ("Response status code does not indicate success: 403 (Forbidden)."):

1) I am connecting from a North American tenant.

2) Both users that I have tried are either a global admin or service admin in Azure Active Directory.

3) Both users have admin role within the target Dynamics CRM Online organization.

Not sure where the permissions failure is occurring because everything appears to be in place. Has anyone been able to connect to their organization(s)?

Hi Joel,

You are talking abt the methodology, right?

My O365 and D365 are provisioned in EMEA. And I do not see any news of DataLoader in my LCS instance.

Are you seeing any?

Where this seems to have gone to really is:

make.powerapps.com, select a CDS or CE Environment. From data on the left select Entities, then press the Get Data button at the top. You then can use PowerQuery to connect to a data source, retrieve and transform data and then map it to fields on an entity in CDS/CE
