Hi there,

When getting an error after a job queue Post Inventory Cost to G/L run, what is the best way to identify which entry is causing it?
In this specific case I'm getting: Posting Date is not within your range of allowed posting dates in Gen. Journal Line Journal Template Name='',Journal Batch Name='',Line No.='0'.

The "Allow Posting" is correctly set up on User and G/L level, Inventory Period May 2025 is open. If there is an entry outside of this period, what is the best way to find it?

Thank you!

    Hi,

Open Value entry and apply filter on Posting Date, and check if any outside of may 2025 period entry cost adjustment is pending!

Hello, To identify this go to the Value Entries page in Business Central, filter for entries where Cost Posted to G/L = No, and check if any Posting Dates fall outside the user's or G/L's allowed posting range.

Hope this will help you to resolve it!

I personally think debugging is the fastest way to find out which line is stuck

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the suggestions,

@YUN ZHU I presume you can only debug in AL?

@Mansi Soni  Cost Posted to G/L is a decimal field, not boolean, so the filter you suggest doesn't work.
When looking at  Cost Posted to G/L and Aount expected often they don't match for a closed period, is this normal?

I noticed this in other companies as well, however, the job queue is not failing there.
