Hi All,

Can we create a load after completing "Release to warehouse" step from SO (i am getting error SO line is already added to Load so cannot be released)?

Or what is the best process to handle TMS?

1. Create SO, Reserve the items , Go to Load planning workbench and add SO line to New load and release to Warehouse

2.Create SO, Reserve items, Release to warehouse then ?? what is the process now?

3. Create SO , reserve items, Release to warehouse automatic Batch job-- what is the configuration required for this step?

thanks,

RE: How to create Load after "release to warehouse" from Sales order

    Hi Danny,

Understood, May be i need to explore more with this approach with different bussiness requirements  with shipments and consolidation. But one issue is when i create the load and release to WH i could not see any shipment is created in the load.

Could you suggest what setting did i miss out?

    Thanks.

    Hi Arjun,

If you want to release to warehouse from the Sales Order, it should be turned off.  The wave would create it and depending on your wave template process and release the work.

If you want to leave that parameter on, then you would need to use the Load Planning Workbench to release the Load to Warehouse.  From the Sales Order, select <Load Plannign Workbench> locate the Load ID and select Release > Release to warehouse

    Hi Danny,

The load is automatically created when you release the sales order to warehouse-No, Actually Load is created when the SO is created itself in my case, Because "Create Load at SO entry" is enabled in TMS parameters. So Load is created first and when i try to Release to WH the error comes.

But with your comment, should i move "create Load" as first step in the Wave methods and disable TMS parameter so that when we release to WH, Load and Shipment are created without any errors?

    Thanks

    Hi Arjun,

The load is automatically created when you release the sales order to warehouse. If you look at the Wave Template that was used, one of the first wave processing inthe Methods Fast Tab at bottom screen is CreateLoads.

But the Sales Line can only be in one Load at a time, so if you release the order again, the system is telling you that it is already in a load:

    - If no work was created, make sure your sales lines are reserved.

    - On the Sales line, click on the Warehouse > Shipment Details to see the created shipment

    - From the Shipment click on Wave ID and Process the wave again

Otherwise, deleting the shipment will delete the loasd as well and you can release the Sales Order to warehouse again.  But work will only be created if there are reservations on your sales lines.
