Issues with CDS (and microsoft sales ) integration

Greetings,

I have been looking for hours now. I managed to get the CDS integration running for the default tables (contacts, customers, currency, etc). But, it refuses to show me the microsoft sales (also cds!!!) tables.

According to the documentation, there should be auto mappings for product/item and a couple of other tables. Those are missing.

Also, when i try to click on product-microsoft sales in business central, i get an error. I have the same error on my main admin user and on my reseller user. Both are super users/admins.

Principal user (Id=XXX, type=8, roleCount=1, privilegeCount=37, accessMode=4), is missing prvReadProduct privilege (Id=XXX) on OTC=1080 for entity 'discounttype'. context.Caller=XXX Page View - Products - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales has to close.

I understand the error message (that user does not have the rights). However, when i go to microsoft sales, i can confirm that that user has FULL RIGHTS in microsoft sales.

Any ideas what is going on please?

Also, something tells me that the lacking of table sync for products is also linked to that permission error.

Cheers

    Hello,

The integration user should be a non interactive user in Sales. The integration user should not have system administrator role in Sales.

The user that should be able to import solution should be system customizer / system administrator.

    More information here:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../admin-setting-up-integration-with-dynamics-sales

    docs.microsoft.com/.../admin-prepare-dynamics-365-for-sales-for-integration

    Thanks.

    Hi, Thanks for your answer.

I managed to fix my issue, by setting up "dynamics 365 connection", which seem to be unrelated to CDS connection... You need to do both, and that was unclear and not really logical. Either you do one or do the other... Ayways, it is working now.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Yes, correct. The synchronization is split in to two parts.

    Thanks.
