Hello Community, I am wondering what the Business Central AL equivalent would be to the C/Al shown in this post: Activate Item Tracking for Items with Ledger Entries in Microsoft Dynamics NAV | Olof Simren - Microsoft Dynamics NAV & 365 Business Central Blog?  We have a customer that would like this implemented for them and they are running the latest version of BC.  If there is a better a better way to do this, I would love to hear that as well.
I have the same question (0)

There is an alternative of doing this with a configuration package as well, as its easier than modifying the application. In a configuration package you can selected if a field is validated when its modified.

You would have a configuration package for the item table and have 2 fields, the item no. and the item tracking code field. In the configuration package, unselect the validation boolean for the item tracking code field.

Hi, I have discussed similar issues, and I hope the following information can give you some tips.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Can we skip/ignore field validation errors?

    Thanks.

this is possible per other experts comments, but is not the best practice. I would recommend to either consume remaining qty of that item or adjust it out.
delete qty of this item on open so, po, production order etc.
create a new item card with proper item tracking and adjust in the items. this keeps previous transactions for auditing purposes.
