We are looking to integrate our MES with Business Central Manufacturing.
However, we have not been able to identify any available standard API for integration to Business Central for Manufacturing for the following transactions and would like to see if there is any experience in the forum to achieve this.
- Get Production Orders from BC -> MES (incl the status of the order in BC)
- Get Production BOM from BC -> MES
- Update Production Order status from MES -> BC (incl releasing it for manufacturing)
- Mark Production Order as finished from MES -> BC
- Backflush of partial Production Order (e.g. backflush wanted on completed item, not on full Production Order). This should be initiated in MES -> BC
- Inventory transaction: Trigger inventory transaction and inventory movement from MES -> BC
- Inventory transaction: Consume the WIP inventory as assembly is ongoing MES -> BC
- Traceability: Update BC with serial numbers from MES (MES-> BC) and connect this to specific Production Order
