PO SHOWING RECEIVED BUT NOT IN INVENTORY

I have an item that i was receiving into a batch. Our computer server froze up and had to be restarted. When i went back into the transaction to receive the po, when i enter it - it says all line items have been received. The po still shows as open and the items are not in inventory. I have no batches open. I have already run a query to delete all our stuck batches and then i ran an inventory reconcile. It has not fixed this problem. Does anyone have any further solutions?

If you say that reconciling has failed to fix it and you can't open the transaction, you may be in for the worst and you need to check the records in SQL. You can't find a batch because the receiving routine probably didn't get that far before the server froze. Serial/Lot trace can detect it because there are fragments scattered in other tables. I suggest you look at the following tables in the company database using the Receipt Number/Lot Number in the Serial/Lot trace window as key:

POP10300 - Receipt header (record may not be here since you can't open it, but try anyway)

    POP10310 - Receipt line

POP10500 - PO/Receipt Quantities (this is where the qty shipped is stored)

    POP10330 - Serial/Lot for POP

    IV00200 - Serial master

If you want to try and delete the stray records, backup your database, restore it to a test environment and do it there first.Test and verify thoroughly before deciding to apply the same in the live environment.

If you were able to remove the Shipment/Invoice, the originating PO may become useless as the line status may have changed to 'Received', so you would probably need to recreate it. (I would also try Edit PO Status but it might not work in this case)

You should also look into why your server froze in the first place and find out how to fix it, thereby preventing this issue from reoccurring. It would be painful to have to do this routinely.

How far have you gone before it froze? You said you were receiving it into a batch. Then the receipt may still be unposted and you can delete it, and that also explains why it hasn't hit Inventory because its unposted.

I did find it under serial/lot trace inquiry. It is somehow marked as a shipment/invoice. Would that cause it to make it not available? Is there a way to change it back to shipment only? I ALWAYS receive under the shipment type so not really sure what shipment/invoice receipts will cause.
