Dears,

I am having a case where we have shipped a Qty for example 10 Qty from Loc A to Loc B however due to space restriction in Loc B, only 8 Qty can be received, the user doesn't want to receive all and then create a transfer order with Qty 2 back from Loc B to Loc A, i am looking for a way to received only 8 and cancel the remaining qty so that it will make automatic adjustment back to location A, Can this be done?

    Hello Hayan,

    A few questions in return:

    1. Are these location within the same warehouse?
    2. Are you using advanced warehouse management?

    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang

If you are talking about the transfer orders, the best approach is to receive it completely and then tranbsfer them back to Loc A.

Since you have already shipped, we dont have any other choice other than receiving them.

    Please reply, if you understood

    Hi Hayan,

Select your transfer order and go to Transfer order history.

Select the shipment and click on Cancel.

Note: You cannot use this feature is you are using advanced warehousing.

Follow below steps if you don't want to create another transfer order to return the excess quantity,

    1. Before receiving the Items in the system, Cancel the Transfer shipment in the transfer order history form.
    2. Ship the quantity again in the system (Only the Quantity that receiving location can accommodate)
    3. Receive the Quantity which you shipped (Which's a quantity the receiving location can accommodate)
    4. Goto the relevant line and cancel the remaining quantity in the Deliver Remainder.

    I hope this helps!
