Need to customize the sitemap based on the security roles. for some security roles i need to hide the modules, and for some roles i have to hide the entities under the same module. I am using dynamics 365, i came to know there is a new way to do it. Help me?

    Hi Varma,

You can add <privilege> to items in module and when all items are hidden, then module also hidden.

here are some links for this

Also another option is to create CRM app with the required module in site map and allow app to specific users based on role.

Creating Apps is a good way but if they have complete url of the prod, they can access all the modules. is there any way we can overcome this situation?

Yes.. that is true, if user has full URL then they can access complete application..

In that case you have to modify site map, and add show / hide area based on entity permissions.

Site map modules shown if any area is visible to user.. if none of the area is available to user, then module also hidden.

e.g. if you want to hide settings module to all users except system admin / system customizer, then add privilege to each area and give privilege like user - create permission.
