Planning worksheets and calculating a regenerative plan

Hi there,

I'm trying to build MRP planning into business central and I'm having trouble getting the planning worksheet to populate.

Things I've done: Created items, routings, production BOM, machine centers, work centers, locations, sales orders, etc, etc......

Here's my settings in the photo below... The way I understand it, the system should pull all demand into the worksheet and make suggestions on what raw materials to order and when.

Any suggestions? When I press okay the sheet remains blank.

Thanks again team!!!

    Jeff,

What are the planning parameters you have setup on the Item Card in the Replenishment and Planning fast tabs?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the quick response.

Here's what I have filled out under replenishment

    - Prod BOM UOM

    - Purch unit of measure

    - receiving unit of measure

    - manufaturing policy: make to stock

    - routing # / Production #

I haven't got much filled out under the planning section... What needs to be filled out under there for a planning worksheet to be created?

    Thanks again everyone!

    Jeff,

Here is my Item Card and my testing...

    Replenishment Tab and BOM Image:

    Planning Tab:

Now I will add a few Sales Orders to create some demand. My current Inventory looks like this:

Now run regenerative plan on Planning Worksheet (MRP):

My Sales Order required demand of 200 for each component for Blue location.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
