Oracle EBS to Microsoft ERP Migration – Request for Budget & Challenge Insights

(7) ShareShare

We are evaluating an Oracle EBS to Microsoft ERP (Business Central / Dynamics) migration and would like guidance from the community on the following:

  • What is the typical budget range for an Oracle EBS to Microsoft ERP migration?
  • What major challenges or pitfalls are commonly faced during such a project?
  • Any best practices, recommendations, or lessons learned from similar migrations?

Insights from real-world projects would be highly appreciated.

    Hello ,

Oracle EBS → Business Central migrations typically range from $150k to $1M+ depending on scope and complexity. The biggest risks are underestimating data cleanup, trying to replicate EBS customizations/processes, and poor change management. Best results come from treating it as a process re-implementation, not a lift-and-shift: simplify the COA using dimensions, limit historical data, redesign reports (often in Power BI), prototype early, and use a partner with real EBS exit experience.

It's difficult to determine a price range; I suggest you contact your local partner.
Furthermore, it depends on the level of customization you require and the amount of historical data you need to import.

    Thanks.

The budget for migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Microsoft ERP varies significantly based on scope, data volume, customization depth, and regulatory complexity. Gather details first.
