Error Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server User Input -- The encryption type requested is not supported by the KDC

Trying to install Microsoft Dynamics v8.0.0000.10088 on a Windows Server 2016 standard.  Getting a weird error at the System Checks screen:

I can't find anything online about the error "The encryption type requested is not supported by the KDC" in regards to a Microsoft Dynamics installation. 

Is there any way to get more information about this error?  A more detailed log file stored somewhere?

Has anyone dealt with this particular error before?

    Found the answer.  Turns out our Server Admin team had set up a group policy to explicitly remove MD5 Kerberos encryption

    But our service accounts in Active Directory were not configured to use AES encryption.  So we got the error above.  We had to add these settings to our service account:

    That resolved the error.
