Good day,

We are giving support to another company and would like to get the older versions of Business Central user and Authorisations manuals in order for us to understand it and give better support.

Were can I get these manuals?

Hello,

Microsoft no longer provides downloadable or archived “User” or “Authorizations” manuals for older Business Central versions; all official documentation has moved to Microsoft Learn and is updated continuously. Your best option is to use the current BC documentation (user and permissions/security sections), and when needed, switch versions via the page’s version selector. For very old behavior, the only remaining PDFs/docs are legacy Dynamics NAV 2016–2018 pages, which still cover core concepts like permissions and roles. There is no supported, complete PDF manual archive for older BC versions anymore.

Currently, Microsoft only provides MS Learn manuals and has not provided any other user manuals.

Agree with the previous response, for older versions of Dynamics NAV / early Business Central, Microsoft does not maintain a single central repository specifically for User & Authorizations manuals, but you can find them through the Microsoft Learn, Community Blogs.
