How do you add a CRM Online trial to Office365

Hello Community,

Has any of you have tried adding a CRM Online trial to an Office365 Instance?

I know that creating a CRM Online trial automatically creates an Office365 instance to host the CRM Online instance but I am talking about a trial that was created through Office365.com and now I would like to add CRM Online to it.

I have been playing around with the Office365 Admin Portal and can't find a way to add the trial.

Please advise.

Thanks.

I wonder if at the moment you can only add new trials to existing Office 365 subscriptions at the time of creation?

    Jason,

Thanks for the information, that was it, I wish you could add it from inside your O365 Org instead of having to create a CRM Online trial and link it to your existing O365 deployment.

Either way, this was the right answer!

A single CRM Online trial can be added to a paid subscription of Office 365. You can have only 1 trial instance associated with the subscription at a time, you get the error you are seeing if you try to add it to a trial Office 365 subscription or if you have a trial on the subscription at the time. I've tried and succeeded at this.

MS do say you can sign up to a trial to test something out before deploying to your live CRM environment so if you have a paid O365 subscription with Live paid CRM instance(s), you should be able to add a trial instance to this though I've not tried this scenario.

    Hello Gus,

I am sorry to inform you that it does not work that way. Microsoft Dynamic CRM is NOT a core component of Office 365. Neither is SQL Azure and some of the other product that work with O 365. You might make a suggestion to Microsoft to add these renderings as possible add ons in Office 365 licensing. But for now you have to do it outside of Office 365.
