i've created a new Sales Invoice - email template/layout based on a copy of the "Default - Email Body" layout.

I edited it in word, added some text that uses Verdana font and  imported it into D365BC.

When I tested it by selecting a posted invoice and clicking "Send by Email" from the Print/Send dropdown you get an email dialog which allows you to edit the email created by the layout. Verdana text does not display as verdana in there - its displays as some serif font.

I copied it from the email dialog and pasted it into an empty word document and it pastes correctly as verdana.

after trying to embed fonts in the saved word file i happened to go into Custom Report Layouts, selected  1306 - Sales Invoice and "Process> Run Report", select the relevant invoice and click "Preview", it displays correctly. So as it was displaying correctly there , I emailed it to test and it is fine in the received email.

So the email editor in d365BC seems not to be able  to display verdana font! I also tried with calibri and segoe ui and they both work fine in the editor, just verdana doesn't.

Anyone else seen this?

It is a web browser so some fonts are not recognized or rendered properly, I would stick to basic fonts like Arial or Segoe UI.

thanks for the response, but only using web font isn't really a an option - t's not that much of an issue as the email is sent with the correct font, just more of an observation.

I realise it's a browser page, that's why I embedded the fonts in the word template/layout.
