Hi, What is the difference between Plan Dates in Maintenance Plans > Lines Fasttab and Start Date in Maintenance Plans > Lines Fasttab?

Based on Microsoft Docs I notice both have the same functionality - the difference is the title.

I want the first WO to be generated on 01/11/2021 for asset "ABC" and repeat the same every 30 months..

I have the same question (0)

RE: Difference between Start Date and Plan date in Maintenance Plans

    Hi Madhav,

We found the only reliable way to ensure plans started when we wanted to, was to use the start date function.  If you want the plan to generate the first time on 1st of Jan 2021 and then every 30 months, you must set the Start date 30 months before the 1st of Jan 2021.

This would be July 1st 2019.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Ray

    Thank you, Will Wu.

Based on your explanation, I understand for Monthly PM if I want the first PM WO to be generated on 01.01.2022, then the Plan Date should be 01.12.2021.

Is the Start Date the same functionality?

RE: Difference between Start Date and Plan date in Maintenance Plans

    Hi Madhav Chakka,

    Please notice:

1.In the Plan date field, insert the start date from which planning can be done on the maintenance plan.

2.The start date of the maintenance plan line on asset or functional location is used. If that field is blank, the Plan date for the maintenance plan is used.
