Hi Everyone,

Greetings of the Day!!!

How can we create return orders for direct delivery sales orders that are going to be delivered at the Advance warehouse while customers return the goods?

Is it possible in the Standard process or do we need to go for any customizations?

Hi Mahaboob,

When you create a new return order, this return order is not aware of the direct delivery. You can use the standard process, I think. An example for return orders and advanced warehouse can be found here: Returns (RMAs) in D365 Advanced Warehouse – Dyanamics Post (dynamicspost.com)

Thanks for your valuable details.

If I create a direct delivery with the Advance warehouse, it will not work as shown in the screenshot below, but it will work with the Basic warehouse. My question is whether or not return orders from customers should be delivered to the Advance warehouse.

As you can see in the screenshot below, I am changing the warehouse from Basic to Advanced, and it throws an error.

as well for direct delivery Return Orders disposition code is graded out, and I cannot select Credit Only as the disposition code on this Return Order page.

Please tell me how I can switch from a Direct delivery sales order warehouse(Basic) to an advanced warehouse while returning the Direct delivery sales orders from the respective customers.

Your suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Hi Mahaboob,

Can you try to add the field 'Delivery type' on the line details of the return order? If the field then has the value 'Direct delivery', you can try to change the value to 'Stock'.

Hi Mahaboob,

Hope you are doing well.

Just saw your post, my client's requirement are as same as yours, but i am not yet there as i am already having issues while configuring Intercompany direct delivery returns. My issue here is when i am creating a RMA (a sales order of type return gets generated as usual), after finding the invoiced sales order which was directly delivered, i go to RMA's header and check the direct delivery button, it automatically enables two other buttons as well (auto create intercompnay orders & allow indirect creation) but it DOSE NOT generate intercompany orders.

Is there anything that i might be missing here?
