Hi,

Are we able to have sub inventory in Inventory module in GP? for example in a hospital inventory. Supplies for operation is separate to supplies and medication in Pharmacy, Can we have a sub inventory account to track medication with different GL account?

    If your CoA is setup with a segment indicating this separation you can use IV sites to accomplish this. You could set it up to hit

    1200-001 - Inventory Medication

    1200-002 - Inventory Supplies

    by assigning a segment to a site.

    Cards->Inventory->Sites

    Can I create different item master? separate to identify what is for Inventory supplies and what is for Inventory medication. or the distinction will be the item code? and defaulted it GL account?

    Yes, you could create two item classes and assign the different GL accounts to each class and assign the correct item class to each item.
