Modifying the Detail and Summary Trial Balance

Hi:

I used SSRS Report Builder to add a "Net Change" field to the RDLC file of the Trial Balance Detail/Summary Report.

The field appears, upon running the Detail version of the report but not the Summary version.  Why is that?

Thanks!

John

Have you cheeked that you have placed the field in the correct section of your report layout?

Can be a bit tricky to help you here with out having the rdlc file available.

Hi, Since this field is native to the standard, I think you also need to check the code for the standard report to see if it is only calculated in the Detail version.

If this is the case, you must add a new field with the Report Extension.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Thank you, Inge!

Although I thought that I had placed my new calculated field in all necessary sections, I found an empty "spot" that I had overlooked.  Once I placed my field there, the field then appeared upon printing either the detail or summary versions.

    Thanks, again!
