Cannot Save Changes to Records for a Custom Entity

Hi,

We have a custom entity, and recently have found that new records for this entity cannot be saved. Also, It is not possible to save any changes to existing records for this entity.

I have the System Administrator security role so permissions shouldn't be an issue.

When trying to click any of the save buttons, nothing happens. 'Unsaved Changes' is displayed in the bottom right corner of the window.

I am able to make changes to the records by using on demand workflows, but when manually editing records it is not possible.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are multiple possibilities

1. Any required attribute value is blank

2. If you have javscript code then check is there any logic for not saving record on any condition.

3. You might be showing field or form level notification

any of the above option may prevent record from savings.

Hi LC,

Do you get any error message?

If not check your JScript on the OnSave event of the form. It may be preventing it from being kicked.

Step to check if OnSave function is preventing the Save.

If you have any code written for the OnSave event of the form, try disabling it and subsequently try saving a new Record. See if it is getting saved. The image says "Publish" :)

I have now disabled all onSave JavaScript, and this resolved the problem.
