Dimension values defaulted in an Item does not flow through to Service Items

Hi all,

I have an item with default dimensions (Global and Shortcut).

The item is assigned a Service Item Group with the "Create Service Item" flag enabled.

When I sold and ship-posted the item, a corresponding Service Item is created.

However, whatever default dimensions I used in the Item did not flow to the created Service Item.

Is this standard functionality or did I miss a step?

    Hi,

    I also tested this with sales order, but the Dimension of the Item was not passed on to the Service Item as well.
    The result was the same when I created the Service Item manually by specifying Item.
    I haven't checked the AL source code, so I can't say for sure, but I think this is a standard feature.

    Thanks for testing it out.  It seems to be a standard feature.  

    To have service item dimensions, the values have to be manually added again.

    Perhaps this is another integration area to improve between Financial and Service Management.
