Change BOM item feature on all production orders

Hi All,
 
 
We want to use it to address the item substitution and last minute production change for formula for scheduled production orders. 
What I observed is this feature not working with batch orders (process manufacturing).
 
Any help about this feature is supported in Formulas or only limited to BOM?

    I got this resolved. This feature is supported in batch orders too.
    The root cause was we need to make sure we define all mandatory from inventory dimension to get production order filter query to run.

    I have a use case for this functionality currently and am trying it out in our TEST env. I have not seen the "From item" quantity reduced to 0 when I view the updated formula lines for my batch order, but I do see the "To item" listed.
     
    Is there a next step I missing from the documentation I am referencing? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/production-control/react-to-last-minute-changes
