Dynamic CRM 2011 + Outlook 2016

I have read multiple treads into different forums, and I would like to get a conclusive answer :P

My customer is using Dynamic CRM 2011 (with RU18) on-premises and 1/3 of the company has now upgraded to new computers with Windows 10 and Office 2016.

And here lies the problem - they cannot use the "Dynamic CRM for Outlook" in Outlook 2016.
It list's all accounts and contacts , but it's impossible to open anything.

Some threads said that I would need to upgrade it to RU18 , so I did without any improvment.
Others said that CRM2011 does not support Outlook 2016 at all.

Can anyone please help me to define the truth? :P

    Hi,

    According to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3005163 Office 2016 is supported RTM, seems unlikely though...

    I was hoping that as well.

    Altough - when installed - the addon can list contacts/accounts and also "preview" the information. But it is not possible to open the account/contact cards or click "Edit" or "new".

    It seem's like that "popup"-part is not working.

    Also - when opened the requirements for Outlook CRM for Outlook 2011 (www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx) it supports:

    Windows 7; Windows 8; Windows Vista; Windows XP  (not Windows 10) , and also only Office 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013 ... (no sign of 2016).

    So , I might say I am really confused.
