Hi,

So I want to know if there is a menu I can go to inside gp to see which users are in a particular company. I also want to be able to log them off. Any suggestions?

Thanks

    Hi Kimberly,

Please go to the following menu.

Administration >> Utilities >> System >> User Activity

Use the User Activity window to monitor user activity and to delete invalid activity records. You may need to delete a record if you restart your computer while running Microsoft Dynamics GP. For example, user records may still appear in the User Activity window after a power outage occurs, even though nobody is using the system. To correctly reflect the current activity in Microsoft Dynamics GP, any records or users not actually using the system should be deleted.

An active user whose record you delete in the User Activity window will be forced out of Microsoft Dynamics GP the next time he or she tries to open a window. If you delete a user record from this window for someone who is currently using Microsoft Dynamics GP, you risk damaging your data.

Also, GP 2015 provides the ability to send users a message asking them to log off and/or warning them that they are about to be logged off.  Administration>>Utilities>>System>>Send Users Message.

What Frank and Babu have suggested is absolutely the easiest and by far most convenient way to check user activity.   This also assumes you have some kind of admin privileges inside Dynamics GP to get to the menu options suggested.

You could also run the following script in SQL Server Management Studio to see who's logged in (depending of course on your level of comfort or expertise in SQL Server):

    select * from DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY

    select * from tempdb..DEX_LOCK

    select * from tempdb..DEX_SESSION
