Performance issue for large data set in BC Indian localization

Hi Everyone,

For one of our Indian client we have to GST rate with combination of the 30 HSN/SAC, around 10 GST Groups and 27 States. These combination sums upto around 3 lakhs of Combinations of GST Rates. Our client is implementing Business Central On-Prem version.

Although we have these many combinations, we still need to create new combination for every new HSN/SAC.

Because of these many combinations, We are not able to add any new combination because system is lagging.

We would not be able to reduce the HSN number as it is required for E-Invoicing.

Kindly suggest any other way to improve performance of the system.

Thanks in advance.

To configure GST rates, you can directly Map GST Group code, From State, Location State Code with respective dates & GST percentage.
    HSN/SAC is not mandatory field.

These will reduce the No. of row items.
Now, in your case Total row item will be 7290 (10 GST Group code X 27 Location state code X 27 From state code).

    Hope this answer your question.

    Hi riya,

It's a well known performance issue now, I have checked for 1000 GST Groups, 1000 HSN/SAC and around 23000 GST Tax Rates.

My suggestion to wait for few more Microsoft Hotfixes.

For now I can suggest wrote stored procedure directly in your client DB and import new combinations directly to tables and restart your services, you can also call the stored procedure by creating an action on page.

Call stored procedure from Dynamics NAV/Business Central On-Prem

Be connected will update soon if I receive any information about this.

Hi, Also, please use the latest version of BC, Microsoft will make an effort to improve performance every time.

    For example, in BC20.
