Custom Table Not Accessible Despite Valid License – Permission Error

Hello all,

We are currently facing an issue in Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS) where a custom table (e.g., Table 50010) is not visible or accessible, even though our license clearly allows the use of 20 custom tables, as per:

This indicates we have a valid license for 20 custom tables (2 packs of 10). However, when deploying or accessing a table like 50010, the system does not display it or allow access via pages.

Note: I'm able to access between 50000-50009.

If requesting support, please provide the following details to help with troubleshooting:
Error message:
Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action. (Table 50010 )

    Hello,

From what I understand, it could be a table range mapping issue. I would recommend to check the license file to validate if you have assigned the 20 tables and in which ranges, this information would be requested to the partner to have the .flf license file.

    I hope I can help.

    Regards,

    Hi,

The error you're encountering with Table 50010 despite having a license for 20 custom tables is likely due to object range mapping or missing permission assignments in the license file.

    Here’s what’s possible:

    • Even though your license includes 20 custom tables (as shown in the license summary), BC SaaS enforces object ID ranges. If your license only covers 50000–50009, then Table 50010 falls outside that range and will trigger a permission error.
    • You can verify this by checking the License Permission table (table=2000000043) in your environment. Look for entries that include Table ID 50010 and confirm whether Read, Insert, Modify, or Execute permissions are granted.
    • If Table 50010 is missing from the license permission list, you’ll need to request a license update from your CSP or partner. They can regenerate the license to include the correct object range (e.g., 50000–50019 for 20 tables).
    • Also confirm that your permission sets include access to TableData 50010. Even with a valid license, users need explicit permission to interact with the table. Use the Effective Permissions page to validate this.

50000-50009 are standard accessible, it seems your license does not have an assigned range.
For example, these 20 tables are 50010~50030. Only the assigned range can be accessed.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.

This usually happens when the custom table (like 50010) exists in the code but hasn’t been assigned permissions in the permission set. Even if your license allows 20 custom tables, users still need explicit permission to access each one.

    ✅ What to check:

    1. Go to the Permission Set used by the user.
    2. Make sure TableData 50010 is added with Read/Insert/Modify as needed.
    3. Publish the updated permission set or use AL to define it.
    4. After assigning, restart the session or browser to clear permission cache.

The license gives you the right to use custom tables, but permissions still control who can see them.
