hi there,

is it possible to change the connection between crm portal and CRM from CRM Dev instance to CRM Prod?

I have one portal provisioned in the Dev environment, I will configure and test in that environment but then I want to be able to switch the connection of the portal to production so that I can continue using it there

is this possible and how?

many thanks

Yes you can change the connection via the Portal admin page.

    1. Go to the 'Dynamics 365 Administration Center'
      • (Open the Office 365 admin portal and from the Admin menu on the bottom left, click 'Dynamics 365')

    2. Switch to the 'Applications' tab
    3. Select your portal from the list and click 'Configure'

    4. On the next page, from the left click 'Manage Dynamics 365 Instance'
    5. Click 'Update Dynamics 365 instance'

In addition to the above, ypu also need to migrate the potal records which you have customized from dev to prod. You can use configuration migration utility for that

    Hope this helps.
