About Licensing

Hello community.

I have some questions about the "NPA".

I have installed in my "Test Environment" the package of solutions throughout the "Package Deployer".

The following solutions were installed:

1-Commmon Data Model for NonProfits Base.  Versión:  2.3.3.1

2-Commmon Data Model for NonProfits.  Version:  2.3.3.0

3-Commmon Data Model for NonProfits Sample Apps.  Version:  2.3.3.0

4-Dynamics 365 IATI.  Version:  2.3.3.0

5-NonProfit for Sales. Version:  2.3.3.0

6-Dynamics 365 NonProfit for Measurement.  Version:  2.3.3.0

All these solutions have "Campaign" as entitiy, so that means that for the NPA, the minimun license I need is:  "Sales App"?

On the other hand, for "Volunteer Management", which I don´t Know the package deployer installed, does this need "Project Service Automation App" License?

Another question, is there a way that in the future the NPA may only be installed on "CDS", without the need of Dyanamics 365 Sales os PSA License?

Thanks in advanced.

-Roxana

    RE: About Licensing

    Hi Rajesh

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I am unable to submit a support request via the link you provided.

I've just found another answer you provided in March 2021 to a similar question: community.dynamics.com/.../1147319

    • Would a per app per user (PowerApp) license or per user (PowerApp) license be enough for the user to remain license compliant or
      • This accelerator requires a PowerApps per user license which would enable unlimited usage of Power Apps and there is no dependency on D365 Sales.
    • Is the accelerator using CDM that is based on D365 entities?
      • It is using Dataverse and the Nonprofit CDM. Please see GitHub for details.

Can you confirm that this is still correct?

    Thanks

    Matt

    RE: About Licensing

    Hi Rajesh

Thanks for getting back to me.

Just to clarify, I'm specifically interested in the Nonprofit Accelerator and whether the sample Apps and Core can be used with just a Power Apps licence or if a Dynamics 365 licence is required?

Your link pointed towards the Cloud for Nonprofit - my understanding is that this is different to the Nonprofit Accelerator.

    Thanks

    Matt

    RE: About Licensing

    Hi Rajesh swamireddy

Can you please provide an update to the license requirements for Nonprofit Accelerator and Nonprofit Core?

In your above post from October 2020, you mentioned that "future releases there will not be a D365 Sales and PSA dependency" - is this now the case for versions 3.0.3+

    Thanks

    Matt

    RE: About Licensing

    Hi Roxana,

    Thanks for reaching accelerator team

The Nonprofit Accelerator only has a D365 Sales license for the Nonprofit Sales, Measurement and CE package. The Nonprofit Core only requires a power app license.

The Nonprofit Accelerator only has a D365 Sales dependency for the Nonprofit Sales and IATI packages. The Nonprofit Core which includes awards, case management, constituents, delivery frameworks, fundraising, and project management and program design data schema only require a PowerApp license. Volunteer management data schema has a Project Service Automation dependency at this point.

In future releases there will not be a D365 Sales and PSA dependency.

Here is a more detailed breakdown of the Nonprofit Accelerator: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/common-data-model/nfp-accelerator. And below is a marchitecture that shows the sku dependencies for each package in the Nonprofit Accelerator.
