Hello,

I have CRM 2016 onprem, with SharePoint integration for document management.  It works great, unless the user is using Chrome and then I get the following alert when they click on anything on the sharepoint element:

what the element looks like: arrow is pointing at what I actually clicked to caused the error above.

I have tried adding the sharepoint page to my safesites, turned off popup  blockers, turned on popup blockers and allowed the sites.

I am kind of at a loss on what to do next with this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is effecting all users, everyone is having this issue, 50+ people.

Thank you,

William

    Hi William,

Have you embedded the SharePoint document list within the entity page or you are opening it through record Navigation >> Documents?  If you have emedded then please share some more details on how you have added it on the page?

Hello, and thank you for your reply.

I am accessing it via the navigation, it's the document associated view for any entity:

    87871.Untitled.png

    It works in IE :

    87871.Untitled.png

    but not in chrome:

    2330.Untitled2.png

Which makes me very sad indeed....

In my scenario, this issue was due to an older version of the SharePoint list component being installed on the SharePoint site.  If you don't have the latest version it may still be using showModalDialog which is deprecated by Chrome and not longer allowed.  You need to use the CRM 2016 version of the SharePoint list component in order to avoid the blocked popup dialog.  The error is actually a bit misleading as Chrome is not actually blocking the popup, this is the list component capturing the error and issuing a popup that indicates the popup is not allowed.

I am having a similiar issue where I cam not geting the popup in Chrome that says "A folder will be created in the location: https://sharepoint...."

Instaed I just get a meesage that states "This record does not have a Sharepoint location associtae with it. Add a SharePoint location." And when I click on Add a Shorepoint location, it gives me the option to create the folder, but when I click 'Create a folder', nothing happens, even thogh it says that the folder will be created.

Thia is also only happening in Chrome or Edge. It still works fine in Internet Explorer but this is not a solution since we are decreating teh use of IE in our environment.

Turns out it is the latest version of Chrome that breaks the Sharepoint List Component. So it looks like it's back to Edge!

Got the same error in crm2015.

Digging into it, the sp list component is opened via window.showmodeldialog... which has now been depreciated (and removed) from modern chrome...
    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Window/showModalDialog

"This method was removed in Chrome 43 and Firefox 56."
