Bank Transaction does not post to general ledger due to currency rounding results in zero values

Dear All,

Wish you are all fine.

I have a strange case when posting bank transactions in very small amounts in EGP currency and the functional is US dollar it results in zero values in dollar.

As shown in the following example the transaction amount is 0.02 EGP , the exchange rate is 8.88 so it results in 0.00 in functional currency (US Dollar) and it posts nothing to the general ledger.
The transaction is to record the bank admin fees.
What can I do regarding this issue

Waiting for your recommendations and thank you very much.

What amount do you think it ought to be posting? If you increase the number of decimal places in your currency, does that make any difference?

@leslie Thank you very much for your reply.

In the mentioned example it should post 0.00225 or at least post an entry with zero amounts.

I have tried larger amounts and it is working fine.

As for increasing the number of decimal places I did not try this solution, I will try Increasing the decimals and get back to you but does it affect any other thing in the system?

    Thank you.

    Yes,

Changing the decimal places will impact many, many areas. If you increase the number of decimals, your dollar fields for that currency will increase. If you are going to try this, please DO NOT try it on your production installation. If you decide to go this way, be sure to back up everything before the change.

Thank you very much , of course I will try it on a test environment and I will back up my live environment in case I will apply this solution in it.
